2012 CA District Chapter Games
“Shoot the Mascot”
This year’s game will again include your chapter Mascot. The purpose of the game is to encourage chapters to carrying your Mascot with you to every event possible, and collect points for doing so. Points will be collected for every chapter Mascot you can shoot a photo of, with your Mascot (e.g. “shooting” the mascot).
NOTE: NO MASCOTS ARE TO BE STOLEN DURING THIS GAME!
This is an honor system game, documented by the photo’s submitted to the District Staff. Points are obtained by taking your Mascot to any GWRRA function hosted by an opposing chapter (e.g. gathering, meeting, fundraiser, Convention, dinner, dessert ride, etc) where their mascot should be present. One (1) point will be collected for “Shooting” a photo of your Mascot with the Mascot of the chapter being visited (1+1=2). In the event the chapter being visited doesn’t have their mascot available, that Chapters CD will “Stand In” for their missing Mascot for the photo shoot to ensure the visiting chapter receives their. Only the visiting chapter(s) receives points during this game, not the host chapter.
If while attending an event several other chapters are present with their mascot, all “Visiting Chapters” will receive points for all mascot’s in the photo.
Example: Chapter CA-1A attends Chapter CA-2A monthly Gathering. CA- 1A “Shoot’s” a photo of their mascot with CA-2A’s Mascot and earns two points (1+1=2). If by chance a third chapter happens to show up with their mascot, both visiting chapters are to take a picture of all 3 mascots together and receive 3 points each (1+1+1=3). If 10 chapters happen to attend, then the 9 visiting chapters would receive 10 points (1+1+1=1+1+1+1+1+1=1=10). But if the chapter being visited (CA-2A) happened to forget their Mascot, the CD (or acting leader) will become their “Mascot for a day” for the purpose of the photo shoot.
The chapter with the most points collected between September 5th, 2011 and July 31st, 2012 will win $100 in cash and bragging rights for the entire next year. The chapter with the 2nd most points will have their Chapter Charter Fee paid for by the District. 3rd place will receive $25.00 and have had a lot of fun visiting the other chapters throughout the state.
NOTE: All sanctioned GWRRA events are eligible to collect points at including District & Region Conventions, so if you can convince a bunch of chapters to bring their Mascot along with them, then collect as many points as possible.
CLARIFICATION: CD’s can only stand in for their Mascot at their own event. If you forget your mascot while visiting a GWRRA function, neither you nor any other visiting chapters can receive points for your chapter, so “BRING YOUR MASCOT”.

The score sheet (link at bottom of this page) is provided to help you track your total points as you travel. This needs to be e-mailed or post marked to Sheriff Nick Riolo (ADD) no later than August 1st, 2012 to be eligible.
